Before making a booking, please familiarise yourself with our terms and conditions below, to ensure a seamless experience.
Booking policy
Online booking times and prices
To make sure you get the best experience from using our online booking please note:
- Due to Styling requirements bookings made online may need to be altered to fit in with salon time slots. However, we will contact you to confirm any alterations to your appointment.
- Prices are intended as a guide only. You will be charged for the services you receive, which may differ from those you booked.
- For a quotation please visit the salon for a free consultation. Discounts may be available Monday-Friday at participating salons.
- Some specialised services cannot be booked online including – Bridal hair, hair for special occasions, hair extensions, chemical straightening, keratin/blowdry smoothing treatments, colour correction and perms. These services require a consultation first. Please phone the salon to arrange a free consultation at a convenient time.
Cancellation Policy
When you make a booking, your card details will be securely stored in our system.
If an appointment is not cancelled with at least 48 hours’ notice, a charge of 50% of the booking fee may apply, and for cancellations or missed appointments, we may charge 100% of the booking fee.
We’d like to reassure you that, for genuine or exceptional circumstances where notice may fall outside this policy, our teams will always take this into consideration and no fee will be charged. Our aim is fairness, clarity, and the protection of appointment availability for both our clients and stylists.
Important information for colour services
Colour correction or correcting an unwanted colour can be daunting. Our specialist colour technicians can give you the best advice with a free consultation.
Bookings for a full head of colour, retouch colour (colour on the scalp both semi-permanent and permanent) and highlights all require a free skin patch test 48 hours before the appointment – so please ensure you make the booking at least 48 hours before the appointment time otherwise we will not be able to carry out the treatment if you haven’t had a skin test.
This skin patch test is to ensure you do not have any allergic reaction and is available at any John Oliver’s salon without an appointment and is free of charge (it takes just a couple of minutes) – so simply pop in at least 48 hours before your booking or call us if you are unsure. This policy is for your health and well-being.
Consultations for bridal hair or special occassions
Bridal hair – we would be delighted to help you and your bridal party look perfect on your special day and believe the opportunity to chat with our wedding specialist, in advance, to plan your look is essential.
Hair for special occasions – use the free consultation with our expert stylists to explore which style will ensure you look your best.
Late Arrivals
If you are more than 15 minutes late, we may need to reschedule your appointment to ensure we provide the best service to all our clients. We will of course always strive to accommodate late arrivals but this may become necessary so please try and arrive on time.
Service Guarantee
We strive to ensure you are satisfied with your service. If you are not completely happy, please contact us within 7 days, and we will do our best to address your concerns.
Health & Safety
For the safety of our clients and staff, we follow strict hygiene protocols. Please inform us of any health conditions that may affect your service.
